Do you work with startups or only established companies?
We cover the gamut of client sizes. We love the help entrepreneurial organizations bring their vision to life from concept to the first time you open the door. At the same time, it is very rewarding to help an existing company see new opportunities and growth through a different lens.
If you are just starting out, we have experienced people in plan and financial development ranging from traditional investors to crowdfunding options. Among us we have professionals in SBA preparation, accounting and cashflow management. We have specialists in capital funding and government grant expertise.
Do we have to work with you in every category you offer?
Absolutely not. We pride ourselves on being able to fully integrate with your internal staff or other outside resources to deliver a seamless solution.
We are not in Las Vegas so how do we work together?
With all of our clients, whether next door or half way around the world, we use a multitude of methods to remain connected. From video and audio conference calls to secure groupware applications where projects are managed and communication is seamless. We offer extensive cloud-based document management, collaborative screen tools for visual exchanges and approvals. Of course with our network of team members, we regularly schedule in-person visits and presentations.
How do you charge for your services?
We use a simple method of fees that are based on three elements; we offer an initial consultation program where we visit with your team (onsite or electronically), listen to your needs, evaluate your current issues and do a basic competitive analysis. We provide an initial report of our findings and from that make some observations. In the second element, we present a deeper plan of action with project timelines, needed collaborative resources from you and a quote. The third element is the presentation of the agreed upon deliverable(s). If out-of-scope changes evolve during the project, we present clear change orders with figures for approval. Nothing is secret. Everything is detailed and reviewed.
If you help with product engineering who owns the IP?
That’s a really good question. The answer actually has multiple options. In most cases, we propose an agreement where the deliverables include your ownership of the Intellectual Property in the design and use. But there have been occasions where clients have asked for a collaborative partnership where we have shared in the development of the technology and in some cases have taken on the role of being the exclusive sub-contractor in the manufacturing and programming of the parts. This is not typical but we are always open to innovative concepts when we believe in the project.
